We are pleased to share the event held on 15 February in Milan: the ‘Dress Your Story’ fashion show, a unique collaboration between Dalle Piane Cashmere, Amazon Italy and six talented students from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome. This project is a special occasion to celebrate creativity, fashion and, above all, the diversity of people.

The ‘Dress Your Story’ fashion show

The ‘Dress Your Story’ fashion show is much more than a fashion event. Drawing on the personal stories shared by Amazon Italy employees, the show will be a tribute to the diversity of age, gender and background of the people who work at Amazon Italy. Through this initiative, Amazon Italy set out to celebrate the people who are part of the company and their cultural and personal backgrounds.

An extraordinary collaboration

This extraordinary initiative grew out of the long-standing relationship that ties us to Amazon Italy, with whom we've often had the pleasure of working. We were immediately excited when Amazon proposed that we take part in this project together with the students from IED Rome. The young designers put their hearts and souls into creating a collection that, drawing on the stories and experiences of Amazon Italy employees, personalises the garments in our shop and makes them unique.

Celebrating diversity through fashion

One of the most significant aspects of ‘Dress Your Story’ is the celebration of diversity in all its forms. The students from IED skilfully turned the employees' stories into garments that reflect the richness and variety of human experience. This collection is not only an expression of the designers' creativity, but also a positive message about values such as inclusion and unity, which we at Dalle Piane share completely.

Throughout the creative process, an intimate and special connection formed between the IED designers and the Amazon Italy employees. An honest dialogue let the designers immerse themselves in the lives and passions of the employees, turning these personal stories into wearable works of art. That connection made possible an authentic interpretation of the employees' stories through fashion.

A new frontier for Dalle Piane Cashmere

This project is a milestone for Dalle Piane Cashmere. Working with the IED students and Amazon Italy was an extraordinary opportunity that let us explore new creative frontiers and test ourselves against a genuinely unprecedented challenge. In the words of Leonardo Dondini, head of our e-commerce: ‘this project is something completely new for my company, since it has us working alongside students, an important academic institution like IED, and Amazon. We're really happy about this opportunity and about being able to exchange ideas with young people, with a great creative spirit and a desire to make things — two qualities we value highly and recognise in the people who have led my company from the very beginning.’
