Valentine's Day: 3 outfit tips for the most romantic night of the year

Chocolates, red roses, hearts everywhere. The lovers' holiday is getting close and, among the gifts and the romantic dinners, one of the first things on your mind is: What do I wear?

Despite the season and the temperatures, you want to impress your partner and feel more beautiful than ever. Here are our tips for looks that are charming, elegant and warm and that won't leave you in bed with a fever the next morning.

1. For a candlelit dinner

An elegant skirt or trousers, with heels or ankle boots. Pair them with a soft cashmere turtleneck, perfect for a mix-and-match look. For a man, these decisions are always simpler. Leaving ties and bow ties at home, you can look elegant by pairing trousers with a classic cashmere crewneck sweater. With or without a shirt.

2. For a night of fun

Never mind the happy couples in love: plenty of single people decide to go out and
celebrate, whether for the fun of it, to try their luck thanks to the magic of
Valentine's Day, or simply to avoid spending the evening on the sofa Bridget Jones style. Our advice for women is to pair a dress with a warm accessory like a cashmere wrap. For men, a cashmere V-neck sweater.

3. Accessories always make the difference

As we said, it's the middle of winter and you can't go without covering up to protect
yourself from the cold. But avoiding the Michelin Man effect just takes the right accessories. So go ahead and wrap yourself in colourful scarves, tied with knots other than the classic one (we wrote about that here), or in the timeless cashmere poncho that suits every outfit and every look.
