Cashmere mon amour on Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is nearly here, the celebration of couples in love and the chance to show off an elegant, refined look on your romantic night out and amaze your partner. Pairing a cashmere garment or accessory with your outfit can give you that extra touch of style that makes all the difference, without having to wear a gown fit for a gala evening or a red carpet.

For a warm, charming look, you can wear a soft turtleneck or a wrap draped over the shoulders. The same goes for men: you can look thoroughly elegant by combining classic trousers with a cashmere crewneck or a V-neck sweater.
Cashmere is a precious material that keeps growing in popularity in both women's and men's wardrobes. Plenty of people own at least one sweater, an evergreen piece that never goes out of fashion and works for any occasion. Do you not agree?
The value of cashmere
Cashmere garments are made to last, with a longer life cycle than cotton ones: given what they are worth, we rarely get rid of them after a couple of seasons.
They last longer partly because they are usually washed less often, so as not to stress the fabric, which helps save water, soap and electricity.
Because they are delicate and precious garments, though, it is worth following the washing instructions closely so you do not risk ruining them.

How to wash cashmere
You need to take care of cashmere from washing through to drying so that it keeps all its characteristics.
Wash your sweater or cardigan inside out: hand wash cool, or use the wool or delicate cycle at 30°C, with a small amount of mild detergent. Don't rub or wring it, and never tumble dry. Remove the excess water by rolling the garment up or blotting it with a towel, then dry it flat.
Iron at a low temperature, always keeping the garment inside out and using a cloth so you don't damage the fibres. Once it is washed and thoroughly dry, you can put your cashmere garment away in the wardrobe.
