  OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a laboratory test for harmful substances: the yarn is tested and has to come back free of chemical residues that are hazardous to skin, against limits stricter than the law requires. The certification covers the yarn, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our family's factory in Prato.

  The Good Cashmere Standard® is an independent programme run by the Aid by Trade Foundation and dedicated to the welfare of cashmere goats: the farms that join are audited on how the animals are treated, on working conditions and on how the grazing land is used. It covers the fibre upstream, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our family's factory in Prato.

Does it come with the insert?
Yes. The cushion arrives complete with its insert, ready to use: it is not a cover you have to fill yourself.

Does the cashmere on this cushion feel scratchy?
No: cashmere doesn't prickle the way traditional wool can, because the fibre is finer.

How do I wash it?
By hand, or on the wool or delicate cycle at 30°C, then dry flat.

Will it pill with everyday use?
It can, wherever the fibres rub against something. A wool comb or a gentle fabric shaver lifts the pills off.

Is there anything to pay on delivery?
No. The price includes VAT and any import charges, and we take care of customs ourselves, so there is nothing to pay the courier when it arrives. It ships free from Italy by FedEx, in 2–5 working days.

What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days. One free return per order: a second return on the same order is sent back at your own cost, and nothing is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned until 31 January.
