Virgin cashmere – what this means
Virgin means fibre on its first life: combed from the goat and spun, never part of another garment. It is longer, and that is why the knit stays smooth for longer. Cashmere
Knitted in two-ply yarn – what this means
The yarn is not one strand but two, twisted around each other. A two-ply yarn is more stable in the wash, holds its shape and pills less than a single-ply yarn. Our factory

Yarn certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 – what this means
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a laboratory test for harmful substances: the yarn is tested and has to come back free of chemical residues that are hazardous to skin, against limits stricter than the law requires. The certification covers the yarn, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our family's factory in Prato.
Cashmere certified The Good Cashmere Standard® – what this means
The Good Cashmere Standard® is an independent programme run by the Aid by Trade Foundation and dedicated to the welfare of cashmere goats: the farms that join are audited on how the animals are treated, on working conditions and on how the grazing land is used. It covers the fibre upstream, not the finished garment: we buy certified yarns and knit them in our family's factory in Prato.
Can cashmere irritate a newborn's delicate skin?
Cashmere doesn't prickle the way ordinary wool can: the fibre is finer, and the knit can be used in direct contact with the skin.
How do I wash it?
By hand, in cool water, with a detergent for delicates. Don't wring it: press the water out with a towel and dry flat.
Is 36.25" × 28.25" (92 × 72 cm) the right size for both a cot and a pram?
Yes. The size is meant to cover a newborn in either one, without extra fabric getting in the way.
Is there anything to pay on delivery?
No. The price includes VAT and any import charges, and we take care of customs ourselves, so there is nothing to pay the courier when it arrives. It ships free from Italy by FedEx, in 2–5 working days.
What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days. One free return per order: a second return on the same order is sent back at your own cost, and nothing is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned until 31 January.

A blanket for the first months: small enough for the cot, light enough to take along in the pram. A plain rectangle of cashmere, with nothing on it but the knit itself.
100% cashmere, knitted in our family's factory in Prato, in the Tuscan textile district. The yarn is two-ply – two strands twisted around each other before knitting – so the knit holds its shape through washing and pills less than a single-ply would. Cashmere does not prickle the way ordinary wool can, because the fibre is finer, so the blanket can sit against the skin. Origin traceability certified Tfashion 100% Made in Italy, which certifies the making and not just the label. The yarn is certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and the cashmere is certified The Good Cashmere Standard®.
